Implementation Plan for Final Year Skill Development & Placement Readiness

1. Objective

To prepare final-year students for placements by improving technical skills, aptitude, communication, and confidence, starting from scratch, through structured weekly activities and mentoring.

2. Focus Areas

·         Technical Skills – Programming basics, projects, problem-solving.

·         Aptitude Training – Quantitative, logical reasoning, verbal.

·         Communication Skills – Speaking, GDs, interviews.

·         Placement Readiness – Resume, mock tests, mock interviews.

·         Mentoring & Motivation – Regular feedback, buddy system, progress tracking.

3. Methods / Activities

·         WhatsApp Audio Challenge → 1 min daily English practice.

·         Daily Aptitude / Coding Question → posted in group.

·         Weekly Quiz (Friday Test) → aptitude/technical short test.

·         Mock Interviews (Hot Seat) → 1 student per day in class or 10 students per week.

·         Mini Projects (Bi-weekly) → simple, hands-on, group work.

·         Peer Buddy System → pair weak & strong students for accountability.

·         Weekly Reflection Audio/Note → self-tracking progress.

4. Timeline (3-Month Plan)

Month 1 – Foundation

·         Daily WhatsApp audio intro + aptitude Q.

·         Resume preparation workshop.

·         Small coding problems (basic level).

·         GD practice (weekly).

Month 2 – Skill Building

·         Mini projects (2 weeks).

·         Weekly Google Form quizzes.

·         Mock interviews (technical + HR).

·         Communication practice (elevator pitch, story chain).

Month 3 – Placement Readiness

·         Company-specific training (TCS, Wipro, Infosys patterns).

·         Mock coding tests (online platforms).

·         HR/Technical interviews full simulation.

·         Project presentations.

5. Roles

·         Students: Participate daily, submit audios, solve questions, present projects.

·         Placement Cell/mentor/dept: Share company patterns, schedule mock drives.

6. Expected Outcomes

·         Students improve communication (through daily audio & GDs).

·         Students gain problem-solving & coding confidence.

·         Students prepare company-specific tests & interviews.

·         Students develop projects for resume/interviews.

·         Students become placement-ready in 3 months.
